Gion Matsuri Festival season again. The month-long party time in Kyoto! However, there is one rule.
This practice is from the fact that the pattern of the cucumber slices resembles the emblem of the festival deity of Yasaka Shrine.
Well, I don't mind eating cucumbers, as they are in season right now (^^).
