Japanese Version "Dollar Store"
One of many questions I'm asked by the guests of Maeniiya Guesthouse is about "100 yen" shops. There are many 100 yen shops in Kyoto, but the one I like is Seria.
The shop is in Shin-Kyogoku Shopping district near Shijo, and they have a wide range, good quality products.

Seria is a good chain, but my favourite would have to be the Daiso chain for their variety and large stores.

Seria is good as it sells some nice craft products.
I`m from Romania, and here is a version of dollar store called 3.8 lei( lei is the national currency, lei translated in english is lion) , which is about 1 dollar and is a very successfull store.
Adriana, I want to go to Romania and check out 3.8 lei stores some day!
